Position Summary: Bartenders play a key role in turning guests into loyal fans by providing friendly service and guiding them through our food and beverage selections.
Essential Functions:
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly service throughout their visit.
- Possess proficient knowledge of the menu; explain options, promotions, Happy Hour specials, and upcoming events.
- Prepare all drinks according to Primanti Bros. recipes.
- Ring up food orders and time their delivery per guest requests.
- Follow up to ensure accuracy of food orders.
- Maintain bar cleanliness, pre-bus tables, remove clutter, and monitor drink levels.
- Adhere to alcohol awareness policies, including age verification and preventing intoxication.
- Handle payments accurately following established procedures.
- Keep the bar area clean, neat, and well-stocked.
- Ensure bar inventory matches POS totals and balance the register daily.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Complete opening, shift change, and closing checklists, along with regular cleaning tasks.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and write English.
- Good communication skills; friendly and people-oriented.
- Enthusiastic, dependable, courteous, and able to multitask.
- Basic math skills.
- Obtain and pass RAMP and/or TIPS certification as required.
Qualification Standards:
- Ability to stand 100% of the shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and wiping.
- Operate POS system, handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent hand immersion in water.
