Title: Bartender - Pool and Lobby Bars

Job Description Summary: Prepare and serve food and beverages promptly and courteously to guests while maintaining high quality and consistency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet guests at the pool and lobby bars, promote house drinks, and use up-selling techniques to maximize revenue.
Prepare beverages according to established pouring standards and recipes to ensure consistency and control costs.
Coordinate food service with restaurants for bar/lounge guests when applicable.
Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, refusing service when necessary in compliance with policy, and notify management of any incidents.
Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
Alert management of any service or safety issues and perform service recovery actions to guarantee guest satisfaction.
Set up and close the bar, including stocking liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
Perform pre- and post-shift side work such as replenishing garnishes and cleaning.
Inventory unused liquor and secure all alcohol before, during, and after shifts.
Handle cash and credit payments accurately, secure the bartender’s bank, and balance the cash drawer at shift end.
Maintain cleanliness and attractiveness of bar areas and inspect equipment daily.
Promote teamwork and communicate effectively with other departments.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a full-service hotel environment.
Knowledge of liquor brands, beers, wines, champagnes, non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, preparation methods, and garnishes.
Alcohol awareness certification and/or valid food service permit or health/food handler card as required by local or state regulations.
Formal bartending training preferred.
Excellent communication skills for guest and team interactions.
Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays (mid-shift at Pool Bar) and two evening shifts at Lobby Bar, including some holidays.
Work areas include Pool Bar, Lobby Bar, Lounge, Kitchen, and other Food & Beverage areas.
