Scope of Position: Work with Management and Bar Teams to meet daily business needs. Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service, and merchandising to maximize guest experience. The role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly Staff Schedule Requirements: The property operates 7 dinners and 2 brunches weekly, including holidays. Hourly team members may be required to work extended shifts, weekends, and holiday weekends. Flexibility is essential.

Reporting Relationship: The Café Bartender reports directly to the Front of House Manager and the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Consistently uphold The Café’s culture and standards according to the Employee Handbook.
Greet guests warmly and ensure a pleasant experience.
Maintain knowledge of bar inventory and mixed drink recipes.
Understand wine pairings and engage guests accordingly.
Communicate effectively with management and staff to ensure smooth operations.
Take drink orders following service standards.
Engage guests in appropriate conversation without compromising service.
Serve drinks timely and efficiently, preparing them correctly and monitoring guest intoxication.
Accurately enter orders and handle payments.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and prep areas.
Follow safe food handling and sanitation procedures.
Perform bar prep including garnishing and restocking.
Provide warm farewells and invite guests to return.
Complete necessary reports and close out registers as directed.
Maintain proper cash handling and confidentiality of payment information.
Represent the Company professionally and uphold sustainability practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

2 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in luxury hospitality.
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and staff.
Physical ability to perform all job functions, including sensory skills to assess product quality.
Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively.
Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.
