Job Description
Title: Barback
Job Purpose The Residence Inn/SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Downtown Greenville is seeking a barback for Oak & Honey. This position is responsible for assisting bartenders to keep the bar operational at all times. A high-energy, can-do, friendly attitude is essential.
Essential Job Functions
- Restock liquor, mixers, and garnishes behind the bar.
- Clear empty cups and trash from the bar top and tables.
- Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the bar, including wiping surfaces, moving chairs, and arranging menus.
- Perform frequent restroom checks for quality control.
- Clean up spills or other customer accidents as needed.
- Ensure bartenders have clean rags and clean cups are stocked.
- Clean cups and dishes in the back of house, following proper dishwashing procedures.
- Check and restock ice bins.
- Assist bartenders with back-of-house liquor inventory.
- Follow opening, closing, and key-holding procedures during each shift.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by smiling and answering questions.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and clean.
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
- Flexible availability for late shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Experience/Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous barback or bussing experience preferred.
