Title: Bartender (Full Time)

Essential Job Duties:

Learn guests’ names and use them in conversation. Remember regular guests’ favorite drinks.
Inspect restaurant and stations before, during, and after shifts for proper setup, side work, and cleanliness. Maintain sanitation procedures at all times.
Communicate with Chef to understand the menu before opening and any changes during service. Convey special requests to Chef and Manager.
Be knowledgeable of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods. Answer guest questions clearly and concisely.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, use suggestive selling techniques, input orders into the POS system, promptly place orders with bartender and/or kitchen, explain guest requests, compile orders with proper garnishes and condiments, deliver and serve orders, replenish beverages, and clear tables.
Regularly check back with guests, anticipate needs, promptly resolve problems or complaints, and inform management of all guest complaints and operational issues.
Serve food and beverages following quality, appearance, temperature, and portion standards; carry trays carefully through crowded areas.
Ensure profitable bar cost by properly measuring drinks using a jigger; no free pouring allowed.
Present checks promptly, adhere to all cash, credit, guest check, and tip reporting procedures.
Comply with all regulations regarding handling, storage, and service of alcoholic beverages.
Answer restaurant telephone promptly, address caller questions, and use guest names when possible.
Possess strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, service standards, etiquette, service ware, and beverage/food preparation equipment.
Control the operation of the station and ensure proper service execution among team members.
Maintain awareness of hotel functions and special events.
Help maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and bar.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, service standards, and equipment.
Knowledgeable about the menu and capable of professionally managing guest requests and complaints.
