Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality craft cocktails and provide expert bourbon recommendations to guests.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting, engaging, and building rapport with guests.
- Maintain the bar’s cleanliness and organization throughout shifts.
- Prepare fruit and garnishes ahead of opening.
- Display glasses and liquor bottles attractively.
- Ensure all customers are of legal drinking age.
- Use sound judgment to refuse service to intoxicated or disruptive patrons.
- Address escalations promptly with the Head Bartender and Bar Manager.
- Submit orders and requisition forms for liquor, beer, and bar supplies.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth bar operations.
- Follow all health, sanitation, safety procedures, and protocols.
- Open and close the establishment, monitoring guests and safety practices.
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and late nights.
Qualifications:
- At least one year of bartending experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior craft cocktail-making skills and extensive knowledge of bourbon.
- Ability to educate customers about bourbon selections.
- Completion of mixology, bar-keeping, or related training preferred.
- TIPS Certified or SERVSafe in Safe Service of Alcohol within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
- Must be of legal drinking age.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and preparing drinks.
- Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
