The Role: A Barback is critical to the smooth operation of fast-paced bars. They assist bartenders by keeping all bar areas clean, stocked, and offering support to ensure efficient and friendly service for guests. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, fun, and quick on their feet.
Responsibilities:
- Stock, set up, and break down all bar products before, during, and after service while assisting bartenders as needed
- Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, glassware, and storage areas
- Clear and reset tables in the bar area
- Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks and appetizers for bar patrons
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years or older with working knowledge of common drink recipes and spirits
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist fellow staff; a team player
- Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
- Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical stamina for constant standing, walking, and occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
