Job Description
Title: Bartender
Location: Hilton Garden Inn DFW North Grapevine - Grapevine, TX 76051 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Shift: Day
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests pleasantly and promote house drinks and food items using upselling techniques to maximize revenues.
- Prepare beverages according to standard operating procedures, ensuring proper proportions, ingredient control, and product consistency.
- Serve food to customers around the bar and work shifts in the restaurant as a server when needed.
- Operate POS system accurately, handle cash transactions, and make change.
- Stock and maintain the bar and beer cooler areas, including sanitation and glass washing.
- Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption; recognize intoxicated guests and act accordingly.
- Check IDs to verify legal age and comply with state and local alcoholic beverage laws.
- Manage liquor inventory, maintain par levels, complete nightly liquor lists, and follow bottle-for-bottle control system.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures.
- Communicate effectively with wait staff to ensure continuous guest satisfaction.
- Prepare fruit garnishes for drinks.
Requirements:
- Ability to operate POS systems and follow drink preparation and sanitation procedures.
- Knowledge and adherence to state and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
