Title: Bartender

Job Summary: As a Bartender, you are responsible for maintaining beverage control, accurately pouring and serving products, and keeping the bar area clean and organized. You will provide exceptional service that aligns with club standards and exceeds member expectations by consistently upholding the 3-steps of service.

Reporting Structure:

Reports to the Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Beverage, Director of Restaurants, or Director of Banquets.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high standards of service as outlined in the Food & Beverage service training program.
Assist with serving food and beverages to members and guests at the bar.
Greet members promptly by name and provide a warm, personalized experience.
Accurately execute orders and requests in a timely manner.
Address and resolve member and guest complaints professionally, notifying management when necessary.
Prepare the bar for service by setting up bottles, garnishes, glassware, and ice, ensuring full stock at the start of each shift.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including regular sanitizing.
Complete daily assignments and side work to meet club standards, including restocking supplies.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the a la carte menu, daily features, and specials.
Ensure all liquor items are properly stocked, poured accurately, and responsibly managed.
Support fellow employees and contribute to a positive team environment.
Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Additional Duties:

Assist other employees and complete additional tasks as assigned due to the dynamic club environment.
Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
Maintain professionalism and commitment to excellence in interactions.
Follow safe working practices and encourage others to comply.
Take initiative in personal and professional growth, maintaining required certifications.
Participate in daily briefings and team activities.
Wear a clean, neat uniform meeting club standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Certification in alcohol and food safety awareness preferred.
Previous experience in Food & Beverage service preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Strong commitment to ethical work standards.
Comfortable working indoors and occasionally outdoors.
Basic bar and wine knowledge, including various cocktails and wine varietals.
Ability to properly open a bottle of wine with a wine tool.
Physically capable of standing, walking, and performing physical activities for extended periods.
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments with possible exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as needed.
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Effective communication skills, including talking, hearing, and sufficient visual acuity.

Blender
Bar dishwasher

Work Schedule:

Attendance as outlined on the weekly schedule.
Additional hours required to meet position deadlines, including weekends and holidays.
