Title: Wine Bar Manager

Position Summary: The Wine Bar Manager at Messina Hof Harvest Green (MHHG) is responsible for overseeing all operations, achieving sales goals, managing events, and training staff to ensure exceptional service and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Assist the General Manager in all operational duties of Harvest Green.
Oversee front of house, retail, and tasting/wine bar operations.
Develop and achieve sales targets while managing expenses to maintain profitability within budget.
Assist with cost control, financial analysis, and budgeting.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Communicate effectively with administrative staff.
Manage personnel including interviewing, training, and supervising part-time associates.
Control inventory and warehouse management, including monthly orders and regular stock audits.
Handle cash transactions, verify cash drawers, prepare deposits, and weekly financial packets.
Manage scheduling for all MHHG staff.
Responsible for opening and closing procedures.
Provide courteous and professional interaction with guests, staff, and business partners.
Educate staff on VIP Membership and Wine Club information.
Plan, sell, and coordinate events such as private dinners, weddings, and corporate functions.
Oversee event logistics including setup, execution, teardown, and cleanup.
Manage vendor relationships and supplies for events.
Perform other duties as required and assist other departments when needed.

Qualifications:

Related degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Strong management and leadership skills.
Proficient with computers for sales tracking and cash reconciliation.
Current TABC Certification, Kitchen Manager Certificate, and Food Handlers Certification.

Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Requires close and peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: Moderate noise levels; work performed indoors and outdoors.
