Position Overview

The bartender is responsible for serving beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction. They also prepare beverages to support other servers serving guests in the restaurant.

Position Responsibilities

Maintain proper bar setup daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily function projections.
Manage stock, prepare, and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality.
Greet guests courteously, promote and record drink orders, mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard recipes and portion control.
Comply with all state, federal, and corporate regulations related to serving alcoholic beverages.
Enter orders into the point-of-sale system, create checks for all guests served, and maintain accountability for all beverages.
Verify charges, record transactions, and ensure proper execution of vouchers to balance cash.
Secure and store all beverage, food, and equipment items after service.
Adhere to attendance policies and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Bartending experience in a hotel or restaurant setting.
General knowledge of liquors and wines.
Minimum age of 21 years.
Experience maintaining service and standards in a fine dining environment.
Valid Food Handlers and Alcohol Awareness certificates required.
Experience with TOAST POS system.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and use good judgment in a multitasking role.
Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
