POSITION PURPOSE Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to all guests. Responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting bar operations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
Take beverage and food orders at the bar, describe menu items, and suggest products.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Perform opening and closing inventory of spirits.
Ensure all liquor, beer, and wine are stored securely.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and garnish preparation.
Clean and maintain taps, coolers, blenders, and other equipment.
Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with legal drinking age.
Prevent service of alcohol to minors and intoxicated persons.
Act as cashier when needed, handling payments accurately.
Maintain cleanliness of bar area, including waste disposal and glassware washing.
Assist servers, bartenders, and barbacks as necessary.
Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet.
Follow company customer service and cash handling policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow all safety and security policies.
Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work mostly indoors with controlled temperature; occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (-10°F to +110°F).
Stand and move actively for up to four hours.
Maneuver in limited spaces and lift up to 45 lbs; push/pull carts up to 250 lbs.
Use manual dexterity, visual acuity, and hearing skills for product quality and communication.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Leadership, customer service, and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills, including Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS.
Ability to work independently and handle conflict diplomatically.
Knowledge of table and bar service, spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required.
One to three years of experience in a high-volume bar setting.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required.
California RBS Certification.

GROOMING AND ATTENDANCE

Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to company standards.
Regular attendance is essential; irregular attendance may result in disciplinary action.
Compliance with company rules and participation in training sessions required.
Flexible to work varying schedules based on business needs.
