Job Title: Bartender / Cantinero(a)

Location: Red Cliffs Zion - Springdale, UT 84767 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Salary Range: $11.00 Hourly Job Category: Restaurant - Food Service

Position Purpose: Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient food and beverage service to all guests. Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of the bar and dining areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and servers.
Take beverage and food orders at the bar, describe menu items, and suggest products.
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Conduct opening and closing inventory of spirits.
Securely store liquor, beer, and wine products.
Assist with recipe batching, ice molding, liquor infusions, and garnishes preparation.
Ensure that taps, coolers, blenders, and coffee makers are clean and in working order.
Verify customer identification to confirm legal drinking age.
Refuse service to minors and intoxicated persons.
Act as cashier when necessary, handling payments accurately.
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area including waste disposal, glassware cleaning, and wiping surfaces.
Assist servers, bartenders, and barbacks as needed.
Participate in deep cleaning of the outlet.
Provide professional and courteous service to guests.

Supportive Functions:

Assist with guest inquiries.
Follow all company safety and security policies.
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Demands:

Work predominantly indoors with moderate temperature control.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures (freezers and hot kitchen areas) for up to 1 hour.
Stand and move for up to 4 hours continuously.
Maneuver in limited spaces and reach other hotel departments as needed.
Lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull equipment up to 250 lbs.
Use hands and wrists for tasks requiring dexterity.
Maintain sensory acuity (hearing, smelling, tasting, vision) for product quality and safety.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the primary workplace language.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership and customer relations abilities.
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
Basic computer and computational skills.
Able to handle internal and external customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS systems.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Knowledgeable about bar and table service, spirits, beer, wine, and flavor profiles.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

1 to 3 years of high-volume bar experience required.

Licenses and Certifications:

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required.
California RBS Certification required.

Grooming and Attendance:

Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to Azul Hospitality standards.
Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
Compliance with all Azul Hospitality rules and regulations is mandatory.
Flexible to work varying schedules based on hotel business needs.
Attendance at required training sessions and meetings is mandatory.

Candidates must have one to three years of high-volume bar experience and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, they are required to hold Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certifications.
