Title: Banquet Bartender, Food & Beverage

Location: Trilogy® at Lake Frederick: Shenandoah Lodge & Athletic Club, Northern Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley

Pay: $14 per hour

Position Overview: The Banquet Bartender prepares and serves beverages and food during banquet and catering events following company standards. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Manager or Catering Event Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Create a welcoming atmosphere by knowing the resort facilities and services
Ensure superior food service and quality standards are met or exceeded
Greet guests, take beverage orders, make recommendations, mix drinks, and serve wine and beer
Verify legal drinking age before serving alcohol
Report safety issues or customer concerns to a supervisor
Collaborate with staff to plan Food & Beverage functions
Handle cash and card transactions accurately and balance the cash register
Take inventory and order liquors and supplies within budget
Maintain a clean and safe work area, including washing glasses and cleaning the bar
Prepare beverages and setups for banquets and other functions
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Skills:

High school diploma preferred
Minimum one year bartending experience, preferably in a resort setting
Must meet state and federal minimum age requirements for serving alcohol
Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS® certification
Basic math skills to calculate discounts and percentages
Positive attitude and ability to maintain a friendly work environment
Effective communication skills with guests and team members
Ability to provide direction professionally and clearly
Able to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
Attention to detail and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability including evenings and weekends

Work Environment: Typically an indoor restaurant setting, with occasional outdoor patio or event work exposed to weather and wildlife. Noise levels may vary and be loud.

Physical Demands: Requires standing and walking most of the shift, bending, kneeling, reaching, and frequent hand washing. Clear communication is necessary, sometimes in noisy environments.
