Part-Time Catering Event Bartender (Hampton Roads)

Responsibilities:

Review the event worksheet before arrival to understand event details, timeline, bar type, and menu
Check in and out with Event Captain or Co-Captain
Help unload the Groovin' Gourmets vehicle and set up the bar area with appropriate glassware
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, answer questions about drink ingredients, and make beverage suggestions
Verify all guests served alcohol are of legal drinking age
Process payments for cash bars using cash, credit, and Square app
Clean and pack the bar area and beverage supplies after the event
Assist with overall event breakdown, ensuring no debris remain and rentals are properly stored

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years bartending experience, preferably in catering or banquet settings
Ability to follow directions and work independently
Effective verbal communication skills
Physically capable of bending, twisting, lifting at least 50 pounds, and standing for long periods
