Job Description
Title: Bartender - Seasonal
Classification: Non-Exempt Hourly Seasonal Department: Bar
Job Summary: Contribute to daily bar and clubhouse operations by preparing and serving drinks, providing hospitality, and assisting co-workers and members.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare drink orders for servers and serve drinks directly to members at various bar locations.
- Keep the bar stocked by directing Bar Assistants or stocking independently.
- Put out snack trays daily.
- Maintain running POS tabs on members for bar sales.
- Set up the bar daily by cutting citrus, carrying ice, and directing Bar Assistants.
- Keep the bar organized and maintain visual standards.
- Follow the cleaning schedule proactively.
- Open and stock remote bars as needed.
- Provide input on daily operations, special events, and inventory.
- Answer phone calls and take reservations courteously for the Clubhouse.
- Interact positively with Club members, guests, co-workers, and managers.
- Maintain a professional appearance appropriate for the position.
- Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety training and OSHA requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of all member and employee information.
- Demonstrate initiative, productivity, and regular attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education: Eighth grade; high school diploma preferred.
- Experience: None required; previous bar assistance experience preferred. On-the-job training provided.
Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift heavy cases of liquor or beer, stand and walk for extended periods, bend, stoop, and reach to access supplies and wash glassware.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy.
- Ability to remember and mix a variety of drinks.
- Time management skills.
- Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
