Job Description

New Land Hospitality Team Members represent our brands by delivering exceptional guest experiences through excellent customer service and teamwork. Our venues include Shanghai, a speakeasy accessible through Black Cat Alley, and Canopy Bar, a private bar on the 25th floor of the Ascent apartment building, with further growth planned for 2026. In 2025, Shanghai Speakeasy was awarded 'Best Speakeasy in the Country' by USA Today's Reader's Choice Awards.

Current Opening: We are seeking an experienced bartender passionate about craft cocktails and delivering unique guest experiences through drink knowledge, best practices, and outstanding customer service. Evening availability Wednesday through Sunday is required.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum one year of bartending experience
Evening and weekend availability
Valid bartender’s license throughout employment
Strong communication, customer service skills, and ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and guests
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities:

Stock the bar before and after shifts, including batching syrups, juices, and garnishes
Prepare recipes and batch cocktails during non-peak hours
Consistently prepare craft and classic cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to menu specifications
Organize deliveries and put orders away promptly
Prepare light snacks from the bar menu
Greet customers and deliver excellent service
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system
Collaborate with team members in various roles including cocktail serving, bar-backing, or bartending as needed

Additional Information:

Position is part-time and tipped
Reliable transportation required
Must be able to use telephone and POS system, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs
Job duties may include additional tasks as directed by the supervisor
