Walton Arts Center operates two campuses: a 1,200-seat proscenium theatre and a 269-seat black box theater in Fayetteville, and the Walmart AMP, an 11,000-capacity outdoor amphitheater in Rogers, AR. Walton Arts Center has been Arkansas' premier performing arts center for over 30 years, while Walmart AMP consistently ranks among Billboard's top amphitheaters, producing over 30 concerts per season.

Located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, Northwest Arkansas includes Benton, Washington, and Madison counties with vibrant cities and a thriving arts and music scene.

Position Overview

The Bartender prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guest specifications, including beer, wine, and mixed drinks. This part-time seasonal role requires excellent guest service, adherence to recipes, and compliance with responsible alcohol service standards. Bartenders maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work area to ensure efficient operations.

Principal Responsibilities

Greet guests professionally and fulfill beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes, portion standards, and guest requests.
Verify guest identification and comply with all alcohol service laws, ABC regulations, Walmart AMP policies, and responsible beverage service practices.
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and implement service cut-off procedures as needed.
Set up, maintain, and break down bar workstations, including cleaning and organizing equipment.
Receive, stock, and replenish inventory, supplies, garnishes, and products.
Maintain a safe, clean, and fully stocked environment throughout each shift.
Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating needs and resolving service issues professionally.
Safeguard company assets.
Maintain positive professional relationships with guests, coworkers, vendors, and other staff.
Follow all safety, sanitation, security, and operational procedures.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education and Experience

Must be 21 years or older.
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of full-service bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
Knowledge of common well liquors.
Experience with Appetize point of sale system is a plus.
Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, and weekends.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete assignments.
Ability to meet physical and attendance standards consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other regulations.

Physical Requirements

Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly.
Must have a working cell phone and be willing to install basic applications for work.
Able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods on various surfaces.
Able to endure outdoor elements including cold, heat, wind, and precipitation.
Able to work in large, crowded environments with loud music, flashing lights, pyrotechnics, and other event-related effects.
