Title: Cocktail Server

Under the direction of the Supervisor Beverage, the Cocktail Server provides timely, accurate, and responsible cocktail and complimentary soft drink service to all Yaamava’ guests. They deliver beverage service during daily floor operations and special events in various casino areas, including slot and table game locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Take orders and payment from guests following Yaamava Service and Brand Standards.
Obtain alcoholic beverages from the Bartender and deliver them promptly to guests with proper change.
Prepare non-alcoholic drinks as required.
Perform regular service check-ins to clear trash, empty glasses/bottles, and ashtrays, and offer continued beverage service.
Coordinate with team members and management to ensure proper floor coverage and exceptional guest service.
Maintain alcohol knowledge, including types of spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, garnishes, presentation, and pricing.
Collect accurate payment using a cash-and-carry system.
Keep a clean and organized workstation and complete daily side work.
Perform other duties as assigned to support department efficiency.

EDUCATIONAL, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum six (6) months of related experience or training.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Accurate and secure cash handling.
Friendly and efficient customer service.
Clear communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS:

May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license as determined by San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.
Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s card.
Must obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
No driving responsibilities; driver’s license and insurance not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work primarily in a climate-controlled Casino & Resort.
May require travel for meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Physical activities include standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Hearing and speech sufficient for effective communication.
Visual acuity adequate for detailed tasks.
Mobility to move safely around work environment and travel.
Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
Possible exposure to fumes or secondhand smoke.
