Title: Cocktail Server

Under the direction of the Supervisor Beverage, the Cocktail Server provides timely, accurate, and responsible cocktail and complimentary soft drink service to all Yaamava’ guests. They adhere to Yaamava’ Brand Standards while delivering beverage service during daily floor operations and special events. Beverage service areas include slot and table game locations and other assigned casino areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Take orders and forms of payment from guests while adhering to Yaamava Service and Brand Standards.
Order all alcoholic beverages from the Bartender and pay for the complete order; the process may vary by venue.
Prepare or coordinate non-alcoholic drinks following established procedures.
Deliver beverages and appropriate change to guests promptly, providing exceptional customer service.
Perform service check-ins to clear trash, empty glasses/bottles, and ashtrays, and inquire about additional drink service throughout the scheduled shift.
Follow scheduled section and break times while collaborating with team members and management for proper floor coverage and guest satisfaction.
Maintain a high level of knowledge about spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, garnish, presentation standards, and beverage pricing.
Collect accurate payment using the "cash and carry" alcohol service system.
Keep the workstation clean and organized, complete daily side-work, and prepare the beverage tray with necessary items (napkins, order pad, pen, tip cup).
Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient department operations.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum six (6) months of related experience or training required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Proficient in basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Accurate and secure cash transaction management.
Provide friendly and efficient service, addressing guest and team member needs and resolving issues.
Clear and effective communication skills.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure during busy periods.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS

May require a gaming license as determined by the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission.
Must obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s card.
Must obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification.
No driving responsibilities; driver’s license or insurance is not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Work primarily in a climate-controlled casino and resort environment.
May require travel to meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must handle occasional lifting up to 40 pounds and exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
Sedentary work with frequent computer and office machinery use.
Physical activities include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Hearing and speech sufficient for clear communication in person, via videoconference, and telephone.
Visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, transcribe, view screens, conduct inspections.
Mobility to move safely in the workplace and operate a motor vehicle when required.
Endurance to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout work shifts.
Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per policy.
Possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
