Job Description

Position Title: Barback - Kia Forum

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Job Summary: The Barback assists the Bartender in delivering high-quality service to guests while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout operating hours.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Retrieve food items from the kitchen and deliver them to the bar area.
Collect beverage items and garnishes from storerooms and supply the bar.
Set up bottles on the bar including 'top shelf' liquor on the back shelf.
Ensure beer taps are functioning properly.
Stock bar snacks and supplies such as napkins throughout the shift.
Assist with opening and closing side work as assigned.
Bus tables in the bar area.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the bar and lounge areas, including washing work tables, walls, refrigerators, floors, and sweeping/mopping service areas.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of bar setup and closing procedures.
Adhere to State Liquor laws and Company policies regarding alcohol service.
Prepare and serve beverages to assist the bartender as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of previous Barback experience, preferably in a fast-paced full-service environment.
Thorough understanding of mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic beverages.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid food handler's card and state-recognized responsible alcohol certification.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to local and state laws.
Physical ability to stand and walk continuously, lift up to 10 pounds frequently, bend, squat, reach overhead, lift up to 20 pounds, occasionally kneel and lift up to 50 pounds.
