Title: Seasonal Bartender - Soho Warehouse LA
The role: At Soho House, the Bartender is responsible for preparing alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, serving food, and providing excellent service along with memorable experiences to all guests and members visiting a Soho House & Co. property. As a Bartender, you represent the brand, the management team, and the global food and drink program. You are expected to maintain professional behavior, display charismatic and positive energy to create a fun environment that encourages conversation and drives sales.
A successful Bartender will greet customers, learn and remember their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. Additional duties include upselling items, creating recipes, using proper equipment and ingredients, and handling basic cleaning tasks. A neat appearance, engaging personality, efficiency, good observation skills, knowledge, and a passion for craft cocktails are essential.
- Follow steps of service and company guidelines for preparing cocktails, juices, coffee, and drinks used at the bar
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and collaborate with other bartenders to wash glassware and utensils after each use
- Educate guests and members about beverage options learned through House Tonic trainings
- Describe daily specials, seasonally influenced menu items, and food pairing options to promote additional sales and enhance the dining experience
- Collect payment and operate a cash register
- Check customer identification to verify age requirements and monitor alcohol consumption
- Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays that promote beverages and enhance overall sales and guest experience
- Provide friendly and helpful service to customers
- Monitor and maintain inventory and delegate replenishment tasks to Barbacks
- Mix ingredients according to recipes to maintain a globally unified beverage program and consistent experience
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in high-volume food and beverage operations
- Experience with craft cocktails and seasonally influenced perishable items
- Coffee preparation experience is a plus
- Ability to multitask and deliver drink requests efficiently and consistently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible schedule and reliability
- TIPS certified
- Micros POS experience is a plus
- Ability to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours
- Ability to move quickly throughout the club
- Ability to lift, carry, or pull up to 40 pounds
- Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as needed

Pay Range: In accordance with California law, the salary range for this role in California is $17.87 per hour. Compensation in other regions may vary based on market conditions and experience.
