Marlin Bar Bartender

Since 2016, the Marlin Bar has offered a relaxed space for locals and travelers to enjoy food, drinks, and retail therapy in Coconut Point, Florida, and Palm Springs, California. Due to demand, more locations will open across the United States. The Marlin Bar is known for friendly service, frozen cocktails, light fare, and a casual vibe.

Responsibilities:

Greet all guests warmly and provide personalized assistance with food, beverage, and retail inquiries.
Maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus, including ingredients, preparation, and presentation.
Participate in training sessions and apply learned skills on the job.
Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash and tips accurately.
Ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for guests and team members.
Manage inventory and stock levels, properly store perishables and spirits.
Verify government-issued identification for alcohol service in compliance with laws.
Follow all company and location policies.
Perform other duties as needed to support business operations.

Requirements:

Minimum age to serve alcohol as required by law.
High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of bartending or related experience in a full-service restaurant.
Prior guest service experience.
Current food handler’s card and alcohol service certification as required.
Enthusiasm to learn about all Tommy Bahama products.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.
Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Occasional ladder climbing.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
Willingness to travel for training and support other locations.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: Pay varies by experience, skillset, and location. Rate range starts at state minimum wage plus tips.
