Overview: The Bartender is responsible for the complete setup of the bar area and mixing drinks for guests and servers. The role requires maintaining the cleanliness of the bar area, ensuring high-quality service, guest satisfaction, and strict control over liquor inventory while adhering to all state liquor laws.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and coworkers.
Set up the bar according to hotel standards.
Prepare beverages and cocktails following the hotel's mixing and presentation guidelines.
Serve guests promptly and professionally.
Break down the bar after functions, storing liquor, supplies, and equipment correctly.
Follow all state liquor laws and hotel policies.
Handle liquor service responsibly to avoid issues with intoxicated guests.
Respond to guest complaints, problems, and accidents.
Keep the bar and service areas clean and tidy during service.
Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Be familiar with hotel services, facilities, fire exits, and fire extinguisher locations.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required; experience in hospitality preferred.
Ability to stand for entire shifts.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle problems proactively.
Maintain professional appearance, including proper uniform and nametag.
Flexible to work long hours as needed.
Attend all required meetings and trainings.
Comply with all hotel safety and operational standards.
Ability to cross-train in other hotel areas.
Maintain confidentiality and show initiative.
