Title: Bartender

Position Overview: Bartenders serve curated beverages to guests and assist in all aspects of front-of-house operations, including running food and drinks, clearing tables, and greeting guests. They embody core values by connecting with guests professionally to ensure excellent service.

Bartenders report to General Managers, Floor Managers, Bar Managers, Head Bartenders, Executive Sous Chefs, and the Beverage Director, working closely with other Bartenders and Barbacks.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly with a smile and eye contact.
Provide an exceptional guest experience from entry to departure.
Serve alcoholic beverages only to guests over 21 years old; check IDs at every table without exception.
Control alcohol served to prevent over-intoxication.
Follow service expectations outlined in the service manual.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of cocktails, including specs, ingredients, brands, flavor profiles, and allergens.
Set up bar stations promptly and maintain mise en place standards.
Maintain thorough knowledge of products and POS operation.
Perform bar maintenance such as cleaning, restocking mise trays, and polishing glassware.
Communicate with hosts regarding service flow.
Handle guest challenges tactfully and report complaints to management.
Recognize intoxicated patrons and involve management when necessary.
Stay updated on internal communications before shifts.
Approach each shift positively and cooperate with team members.
Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Additional Duties:

Collaborate with Head Bartender to improve procedures.
Manage gift certificate transactions.
Participate in staff training and tests to promote professional growth.
Assist in training new hires.
Build relationships with regular guests and community members.
Represent the company professionally on and off premise.
Follow all company rules, policies, and conditions of employment.

Physical Demands:

Requires seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, sitting and standing 4 to 8 hours, bending, and intermittent movement during shifts.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in a reputable establishment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Attention to detail and consistency in beverage quality and presentation.
Flexibility for varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and meetings.
Patience, adaptability, self-motivation, and team spirit.
High ethics, strong work ethic, and good sense of humor.

Desired Qualifications:

3-5 years bartending in high-volume establishments.
Extensive knowledge of craft cocktailing, spirits, ingredients, and techniques.
