Job Description
Location: Aspetuck Valley Country Club, Weston, CT Department: Food and Beverage Job Title: Bartender Reports To: Club House Manager / Food and Beverage Manager Compensation: Hourly Benefits: Meals and benefits eligible if hired full-time
Position Objectives: The Bartender prepares all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for members and guests according to professional standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepare standard and custom drink recipes quickly and accurately.
- Verify identification to ensure guests meet minimum drinking age requirements.
- Take and serve drink orders using the Club’s POS system.
- Assist Servers by filling drink orders in the restaurant.
- Maintain bar cleanliness, wash glasses, arrange bottles and barware.
- Remove empty bottles and trash; replace empty beer kegs.
- Stock the bar with liquor, mixers, and supplies from storerooms.
- Track inventory levels and report needs to the Food and Beverage Manager.
Incidental Duties: Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required by management.

Job Qualification Standards: Education and Experience:
- Prior bartending experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum age 18 to serve alcoholic beverages per CT legal guidelines.
- Knowledge of state and local alcohol sales laws.
Certifications:
- Valid and unexpired bartender certification.
Skills:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Customer service knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Highly active, multitasking environment.
- Good physical fitness, visual acuity, and sense of urgency to meet members’ needs.
