Job Title: Bartender - Part Time Location: Washington, DC Employment Type: Part Time Salary Range: $23-$25 per hour Department: Dining Services

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous bartending experience required
ServSafe, TIPS, or similar alcohol training certificate preferred
Experience with and passion for working with seniors
Experience with point-of-sale systems preferred

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Personal Characteristics:

Effective oral and written communication in English
Problem-solving skills and ability to handle workplace challenges
Ability to work well under stress and maintain composure
Capacity to assimilate complex information and adapt to various situations
Attentive to concerns of residents and guests
Physical ability to stand long hours, walk distances, bend, stoop, and lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
Ability to work under varying temperatures and noise levels
Ability to multitask and use technology to support resident needs and safety
Free of communicable diseases

Typical Work Duties & Functions:

Provide outstanding customer service to residents, family members, and visitors
Maintain a professional appearance
Complete opening and closing duties according to protocols
Prepare and serve drinks using provided recipes
Accurately record all food and beverage purchases in the point-of-sale system
Know the full food and drink menus, including specials and desserts
Clear and clean tables; wash glassware and ensure sanitary conditions per health codes
Monitor residents and guests for intoxication and report concerns promptly
Comply with all local liquor laws, health, and sanitation regulations
Complete daily beverage inventory and maintain par levels
Keep supervisors informed of any issues
Complete all assigned side work before leaving
Participate in ongoing training and follow emergency procedures
Adhere to all Inspir safety practices
Perform other duties as assigned
