Position Summary: Provide guests with consistent, high-quality drinks that meet the luxury standards of The Biltmore. Maintain meticulous attention to drink preparation, bar décor, and cleanliness of the area to ensure guest satisfaction. Adhere strictly to Biltmore's Standard Operating Procedures (BSOPs).

Responsibilities:

Maintain positive guest relationships to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
Offer guests exceptional service and product knowledge.
Keep bar inventory (pars) accurate at all times.
Demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm towards guests and coworkers.
Take complete drink and food orders efficiently.
Know the bar menu thoroughly; explain and suggest drinks as needed.
Serve drinks in the appropriate glassware with correct garnishes.
Ensure the requested brand of liquor is served.
Adhere to legal drinking age policies at all times.
Present separate checks to each party at the end of service.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and workplace safety.
Keep the bar area and floors clean continuously.
Pour standard drink measurements (1 1/2 oz) without overpouring.
Maintain control of the bar at all times.
Monitor and manage guests who have overconsumed alcohol.
Be familiar with beverage selections, pricing, menus, and preparation.
Follow proper identification procedures.
Adhere to service standards outlined in manuals.
Reconcile daily sales and credit information.
Complete all closing tasks relevant to the bartender position.
Declare earned gratuities in accordance with government regulations.
Notify management immediately of any problems or potential issues.
Possess strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of all food, beverage, and bar recipes offered by the hotel.
Follow the service sequence as directed by management.
Maintain a positive attitude toward guests and team members.
Prepare drink service for bar, lounge, and poolside areas.
Keep the workstation clean, organized, and properly stocked with napkins, straws, and garnishes.

Requirements:

High school diploma required.
Minimum two years of bartending experience.
Valid Bartender's License.
Fluent in English: speak, read, write, and understand.
Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm, use good judgment, and resolve problems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Maintain confidentiality of guest information.
Basic to moderate computer and typing skills.
Adaptable to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to multitask.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach overhead and below the knees.
Use fine finger dexterity for operating equipment.
Communicate clearly with employees, managers, and guests.
Visual acuity to work on computers for long durations.
Adapt to moderate indoor temperatures.

Additional Information:

Compliance with Biltmore Hotel grooming standards is required.
May work varying schedules including overtime, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
