Job Title: Bartender Classification: Nonexempt Department: Restaurant Reports to: Restaurant Manager/Supervisor

Summary: South Beach Group Hotels, Miami Beach's largest boutique hotel chain, is seeking a Bartender to provide timely, accurate, and friendly service while preparing high-quality beverages. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality.

Essential Functions:

Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following standard recipes.
Communicate with guests clearly and enthusiastically to make them feel appreciated.
Maintain cleanliness and stock in all bar areas according to company standards.
Process drink orders promptly, handle payments, and provide change.
Arrange bottles and glasses attractively in line with restaurant standards.
Clean and stock the bar after service to prepare for the next shift.
Keep current bar tabs visible to guests at all times.
Anticipate guests' needs; follow the half-full rule when offering refills and acknowledge guest signals promptly.
Provide personable service, greeting each customer within 30 seconds.
Ensure responsible alcohol service; arrange taxi for guests who should not drive and request management intervention if necessary.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum two years of bar or restaurant experience.
At least one year of experience in a hotel environment.
Proven bartending skills, including mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
Relevant training certificate.
Must pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better.
Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Fast-paced restaurant setting with high noise levels.
Exposure to hazards such as cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns.
Frequent hand washing required.
Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
Frequent lifting/moving items over 50 pounds.

Position Type and Schedule:

Full-time with variable hours based on business needs, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnight shifts.
