Job Description
Title: Bartender
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive orders from patrons and wait staff.
- Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages as ordered.
- Ensure fruit and garnishes are prepared before opening.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar.
- Display glasses and liquor bottles attractively.
- Keep the bar stocked.
- Verify customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
- Collect payments for drinks.
- Use proper judgment and refuse service to intoxicated or disruptive patrons when necessary.
- Submit orders or requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly or argumentative patrons.
- Ability to learn cash register software used by the bar or restaurant.
Education and Experience:
- Completion of mixology, bartending, or related training required.
- At least one year of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and prepare drinks.
- Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Must be of legal drinking age or older.

Compensation: This hourly wage is based on the tip credit system, where a portion of your pay comes from customer tips. Your base wage plus tips must equal or exceed $15 per hour. If your combined tips and base wage do not meet this minimum, the employer will make up the difference to ensure compliance.
