Title: Banquet Barback

TradeWinds Island Resorts offers a tropical beachfront setting on St. Pete Beach, featuring two connecting resorts with dining, bars, and a variety of activities.

Overview: The Banquet Barback plays a vital role in delivering exceptional event experiences at TradeWinds Resort. This position supports the Banquets team by ensuring bars are fully stocked, organized, and prepared for seamless service. This role suits individuals who thrive in high-volume resort settings and enjoy hands-on, behind-the-scenes work that enhances guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

Set up banquet bars and equipment for indoor and outdoor events
Request, pick up, verify, and properly store all bar inventory including liquor, wine, beer, juices, soft drinks, and food items
Stock bar areas with beverages, glassware, iced cambros, and condiments
Support team members by restocking and resetting bars promptly during events
Assist bartenders with side work before, during, and after events
Support banquet food servers as needed
Complete opening and closing duties for bar operations
Operate and maintain bar tools and equipment
Contribute to a superior guest experience through efficient teamwork
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum one year of experience in a barback or similar hospitality role preferred
Basic knowledge of liquor, bar operations, and service standards
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to frequently bend, lift (40+ lbs), carry, push, and pull
Ability to transport carts, glass racks, and bar supplies
Comfortable working in heat, humidity, noise, and wet conditions
Frequent movement between event spaces and buildings
Strong communication skills with a positive, professional, and patient demeanor
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
