BARTENDER

Job Summary: The Bartender is responsible for preparing excellent, professionally made drinks and serving guests responsibly.

Reports to: Department Manager and/or Supervisor

Job Responsibilities and Standards:

Maintain standard drink mixing procedures.
Ensure the bar and lounge are in proper order, including lights, temperature, music, and cleanliness.
Perform tasks as assigned by management.
Prepare the bar for each shift.
Provide prompt and courteous service to all guests.
Demonstrate knowledge of specialty drinks, pricing, and basic beverage information.
Comply with all club policies and training guidelines.
Communicate special guest requests and preferences to the club concierge.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience and knowledge of alcoholic beverage service required.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with an outgoing personality.
2-3 years of bartending experience preferred.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Ability to work under pressure and multitask while maintaining professionalism.
Ability to lift and change kegs.
Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day.
Good memory for multiple drink orders and requests.

Customer Service Responsibility:

Maintain exceptional customer service standards.
Present professionally in appearance and conduct.
Contribute positively to the work environment through cooperation and teamwork.
Listen and respond to guest requests in a friendly and helpful manner.

Dependability:

Adhere to work schedule and notify supervisors promptly if unable to work.
Arrive on time and work scheduled hours.
Attend mandatory training and demonstrate understanding of responsibilities.
Communicate effectively using positive verbal and non-verbal skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules and extra hours when needed.

Safety:

Follow club safety procedures and report unsafe practices.
Use proper body mechanics to prevent injuries.
Report workplace injuries and refer to safety data sheets as necessary.

Other Duties:

Assist with special projects as assigned by management.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma and prior experience in alcoholic beverage service. A preference is given to those with 2-3 years of bartending experience and the physical ability to stand for long shifts and lift kegs.
