**Bartender**

**Supervisor:** F&B Supervisor/FOH Manager **Exempt:** No **Classification:** Key Employee

**Summary:** Provide friendly, courteous beverage service and beverage preparation. Ensure all bar guests meet age requirements for the purchase of alcohol and tobacco. Follow proper beverage pouring and dispensing policies. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

Greet and acknowledge all guests promptly.
Check and maintain supplies of beverage cups, glassware, and food service items.
Clean and sanitize bar tops, underbars, counters, floors, and all equipment.
Maintain food preparation and display equipment cleanliness.
Use MICROS/POS system efficiently.
Prepare cocktails and drinks according to established recipes and terminology.
Follow correct drink call list procedures.
Complete side work, pre-shift, and shift completion tasks.
Prepare and serve menu items as specified.
Provide excellent guest service with positive and attentive communication.
Maintain cleanliness of bottles and bar area at shift end.
Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures.
Ensure safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
Describe specials and menu items accurately.
Take orders efficiently.
Handle multiple tasks in a high-volume environment including cash and credit card payments.
Maintain basic math and money handling skills.
Other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualification Requirements:**

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum of 1 year high-pressure, high-volume bartending experience (preferably casino).
Minimum of 1 year cash handling experience.
Minimum of 6 months customer service experience in a high-volume operation (casino preferred).
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to work flexible schedules.
Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
Must obtain and maintain gaming license.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
No felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
Must possess a valid Louisiana Alcohol Serving Card.
Tribal preference applies.

**Education and Experience:**

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year bartending experience in a high-pressure, high-volume setting (casino preferred).

**Working Conditions:**

Must be mobile 100% of the time.
May work in dimly lit or smoky environments.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Tolerate high background noise while remaining calm and courteous.
Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 25 lbs.
Requires regular and consistent attendance.
Work area may be small and fast-paced.
Constant contact with guests and team members; temperature may vary.

**Certificate/Licenses:**

Valid Louisiana Alcohol Serving Card required.
