Title: Cocktail Server

Supervisor: F&B Supervisor/FOH Manager Exempt: No Classification: Non-Key Employee

Summary: Responsible for providing prompt, friendly, and courteous food and beverage service to all guests on the gaming floor. Maintain the overall appearance of the sports bar and handle cash and credit card transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet all guests promptly and courteously.
Describe beverages and available services to guests.
Operate MICROS/POS system accurately.
Demonstrate knowledge of cocktail and drink terminology.
Ensure the correct cocktail/drink call list is followed.
Perform shift opening and closing checklist duties.
Complete necessary side work, pre-shift, and shift completion tasks.
Handle VIP guests according to internal F&B policies.
Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures.
Ensure safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
Serve all food and beverages with proper garnishments.
Monitor assigned gaming devices or tables for service needs and maintain glassware and ashtrays.
Promote positive customer relations, greet guests, and create a friendly atmosphere.
Communicate effectively in English with staff and guests.
Multi-task efficiently in a high-volume, dimly lit, loud, and smoke-filled environment.
Handle payment transactions including cash, credit cards, and comps.
Perform basic math and money handling.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information such as guest credit card data.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of one year cash handling experience.
Minimum of one year customer service experience, with at least six months in a high-volume operation (casino experience preferred).
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules.
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, background investigation, and obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Must be 21 years of age.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
No felony or theft convictions.

Working Conditions:

Requires being mobile 100% of the time.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Must work in dimly lit, smoky, and noisy environments.
Requires regular, consistent attendance.

Certificates/Licenses:

Louisiana Responsible Vendors Server Permit

Tribal Preference Policy: Members of the Jena Band of Choctaw Tribe will receive hiring preference when meeting minimum qualifications, followed by spouses of enrolled members, members of other recognized tribes, military veterans, and others who qualify.
