Title: Bartender - Miko's

Supervisor: Miko’s Manager Exempt: No Classification: Key Employee

Summary: Provide friendly and courteous beverage service and preparation. Ensure all guests meet age requirements for alcohol and tobacco purchase. Follow proper beverage pouring and dispensing policies. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet and acknowledge guests promptly.
Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar including beverage cups, glassware, and food service supplies.
Manage inventory and restock supplies.
Perform bar custodian duties, including cleaning and maintaining food prep and display equipment.
Operate POS system.
Knowledgeable in cocktail and drink terminology and preparation.
Follow correct cocktail and drink call procedures.
Prepare and serve menu items as specified.
Provide service to guests ordering from the menu.
Promote positive customer relations and create a friendly atmosphere.
Handle cash, comps, and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy and returning correct change.
Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures.
Ensure safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.
Describe specials and meal items effectively.
Take orders efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

At least six months of customer service experience in a high-volume operation (casino experience preferred).
Cash handling experience.
High-volume bartending experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to work flexible schedules.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Valid driver’s license or state ID.
Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, background check, and obtain and maintain gaming license.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum one-year hospitality experience in a high-volume operation (casino/restaurant preferred).

Working Conditions:

Constant mobility required.
Must stand for extended periods.
Tolerate high background noise while maintaining composure and courtesy.
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 55 lbs with assistance.
Regular, consistent attendance required.
Work area may be small with heavy production.
Extended hours, irregular shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Varying temperatures; constant interaction with guests and team members.

Certification/License:

Louisiana Responsible Vendors Server Permit

Candidates must have at least one year of high-volume hospitality experience and a high school diploma or GED. Additionally, applicants must be at least 21 years old, possess a Louisiana Responsible Vendors Server Permit, and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
