**Position Title:** Bartender

**Reports to:** Beverage Manager and Dining Services Manager

**Employee Categories:** Full-Time (Year-Round or Seasonal), Part-Time (Year-Round or Seasonal)

**FLSA Category:** Non-exempt, Hourly

**Compensation:** $25 - $30 per hour

### Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with intermediate knowledge of wines, beers, cocktails, and specialty drinks.
Demonstrate proficiency in various cocktail preparation methods (e.g., straight up, shaken, stirred, neat).
Understand appropriate glassware requirements per beverage type.
Assist with additional beverage services during shifts (water, coffee, cocktails).
Set up and break down the bar, including glassware and equipment.
Stock and restock liquor, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Perform daily sales entries in the point-of-sale system and accurately report inventory consumption.
Monitor bar equipment such as coolers, glass washers, and soda dispensers.
Present and properly pour bottles of wine or champagne.
Complete side work and prep tasks (cutting citrus, polishing glassware, preparing mixers).
Conduct close-out duties and check out with the manager at shift end.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all food and beverage storage areas.
Assist other bartenders and perform assigned tasks.
Communicate courteously and politely with members and guests, addressing them by name.
Work cohesively with staff and follow managerial directions.
Maintain sanitation logs daily.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

### Required Skills:

Intermediate food and beverage knowledge.
Ability to work well in a team and fast-paced environment.
Basic reading and writing skills.
Conversational English proficiency.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

### Certifications:

TIPS certification required.

### Uniform Requirements:

White, clean, pressed dress shirt (provided on first day).
Black slacks or pants (no denim, yoga pants, or casual materials).
Black belt if slacks have belt loops.
Green tie, black apron, black vest, and/or jacket provided if needed.
Black socks or stockings above the ankle.
Black, clean, polished, comfortable work shoes without adornments.

### Physical Requirements:

Ability to bend, reach for items on shelves, carry trays, and lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours.
Ability to use a touchscreen point-of-sale system.
