Job Description

The Bethesdan Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is seeking a personable and friendly part-time Roof Top Pool Bartender to join our team for the upcoming pool season (May 2026 - September 2026). The ideal candidate delivers memorable hospitality to guests and has extensive knowledge of drink preparation and service. Work habits should meet or exceed hotel standards for procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance.

Hours: Midday shift, 10 am to 8 pm, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

Provide outstanding customer service to every guest.
Maintain proper and adequate setup of the bar daily, including requisitioning and stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce based on daily projections.
Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh fruit, vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.
Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders, mix and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
Comply with all State, Federal, and Corporate regulations for alcohol service.
Input orders accurately at the point of sale, create checks, and maintain accountability for all beverages served.
Handle cash transactions, verify charges, record sales, ensure vouchers are executed properly, balance all money, and secure cash deposits.
Lock up and store all beverage, food, and equipment items securely.
Comply with attendance rules and be regularly available to work.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
At least 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a similar setting.
Flexible availability for midday shifts on weekends and holidays.
Friendly and professional demeanor with the ability to create a positive guest experience.
Energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment serving guests and supporting team members.
County-specific Food Handler Certification, State-specific alcohol certification, and TIP's Certification required.
Proficient command of the English language.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Knowledgeable in credit card and cash handling procedures, including accurate tip-out sheet recording and billing.
