Title: Rooftop Bartender

The Cambria Hotel in Detroit is expanding and seeking a dynamic and energetic Rooftop Bartender to join our team for a seasonal position from early spring through early autumn.

About Detroit Cambria: The Cambria Hotel features modern amenities appealing to travelers, including spa-style bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors, contemporary guest rooms with modern fixtures and plush bedding, multiple food and beverage options, flexible meeting and event spaces, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and locally inspired designs.

Job Summary: The Rooftop Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, manage bar stock, collect payments, and maintain a clean, organized workspace while delivering excellent customer service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Report punctually and in full uniform.
Adhere to all policies and standards in the Cambria Detroit Handbook.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Display products attractively with labels facing customers.
Have in-depth knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, house recipes, and non-alcoholic products.
Greet guests personally within 90 seconds.
Communicate clearly and enthusiastically with guests.
Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient service and cleanliness.
Mix, garnish, and serve drinks according to standard recipes.
Enter orders into POS promptly, collect payments, and make change.
Arrange bottles and glassware attractively.
Wash and polish glassware.
Monitor guests for intoxication and serve alcohol responsibly.
Serve food as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Flexible to work evenings and weekends in a rooftop schedule.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong observational skills and situational awareness.
Ability to handle difficult or rude patrons professionally.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Extensive knowledge of drink preparation, food, and service.
Ability to learn and use POS software.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior restaurant experience preferred.
Prior bartending experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to reach, bend, lift (up to 35 pounds), carry, stoop, and wipe continuously.
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
Must be able to move quickly throughout the establishment.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol according to Federal and State laws.
