Title: Beach Club Bartender (Seasonal)

Summary: Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of the bar.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide quality products, excellent service, and a friendly atmosphere for all customers.
Greet and serve customers at the bar and at tables.
Operate the MICROS computer system; complete accurate closing shift reports and daily deposit drops.
Prepare alcoholic drinks per resort recipes for servers.
Maintain resort-issued cash bank for cashiering.
Cashier for servers and guests.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and all stations.
Answer telephone calls, receive reservations, and post accurate information.
Keep accurate accountability of waste and spills daily.
Act as a lead when the supervisor is not present; monitor intoxication levels.
Communicate with customers and report any complaints to the manager.
Assist outlet employees as needed, including resetting tables, folding napkins, side work, and end-of-shift tasks.
Check computer systems for supplies each shift.
Follow all policies and procedures outlined by management and the employee handbook.
Support hotel security by observing and reporting questionable activity.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet customer needs and requests.
Maintain knowledge of products and report supply needs.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
Attend meetings and complete online training.
Minimize waste and spoilage by proper rotation, storage, and usage.
Follow proper grooming and dress standards.
Adhere to environmental practices of the resort.

Education and Experience:

Previous serving experience preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old as required by law.
TIPS certification preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varied hours including weekends and holidays.
Work well independently and as part of a team focused on outstanding guest service.

Typical Physical Demands:

Frequently stand, walk, talk, and hear.
Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, twist, turn, and carry up to 35 lbs for extended periods.
Ability to walk up and down stairs and move tables and chairs.
Able to carry loaded serving trays and tray jacks.
Able to work on carpet and concrete surfaces.
Able to read, write, and count money.
Able to wash glasses and restock supplies.

Typical Mental Demands:

Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude in a fast-paced work environment.

Working Conditions:

Moderate to loud noise levels.
Work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
Work in crowded areas.
Use chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing according to MSDS standards.
Mandatory weekend and holiday work.
May be required to work in other departments.

Additional Information: Native American preference applies. Must pass a background check and drug screening as conditions of employment. This description is not all-inclusive; employees will perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors to meet departmental needs.
