Bartender - Part-Time

This 9-story, 245-key hotel features the AC lounge and bar, AC library, media salons, meeting space, boardroom, fitness center, and connects to the city skyway system.

Sage Hospitality is hiring a Bartender/Server for the AC Hotel Minneapolis Downtown. You will bring a creative spirit to this AC Marriott while precisely managing operations to keep the hotel profitable.

Job Overview: Responsible for bar setup, mixing drinks, service, and cleanup while delivering quality service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining company standards and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, safety controls, and company policies.
Perform all guest interactions courteously, efficiently, and professionally, committed to guest satisfaction.
Ring guest checks, collect payments, and process credits and room charges accurately.
Complete liquor requisitions and maintain supply lists.
Comply with all state liquor laws.
Maintain established inventory levels (pars).
Perform all sidework according to schedules.

Qualifications: Education/Formal Training:

Bartending training and certification.
TIPS Certification.

Experience:

Minimum 6 months bartending experience.

Knowledge/Skills:

Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in busy, noisy environments.
Ability to handle customer service issues tactfully, including stressful situations.
Accurate cash handling and cash register operation.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and carry trays, dish racks, glass racks (20-40 lbs).
Push carts and portable bars weighing 50-100 lbs.
Bending, kneeling, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
Continuous standing throughout scheduled shifts.
Climbing approximately 12 steps (20% of shift).
No driving required.
Ability to manage records and special requests.

Environment: Physically demanding with prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and carrying throughout the entire shift.
