Doubletree Suites Minneapolis Downtown is seeking a Bartender to provide customized beverage service to hotel restaurant and bar customers in a friendly, energetic, and timely manner. The Bartender ensures guests have a great time and feel relaxed while at the bar. This role requires strong guest service skills, effective communication, and multitasking.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and provide clear descriptions of food and beverage options.
Maintain proper setup and organization of the bar area.
Stock beer, wine, spirits, paper products, condiments, and fresh garnishes.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks according to standard recipes and portion control.
Attend monthly departmental meetings.
Use POS system to input orders and process payments accurately.
Manage cash transactions, verify charges, and balance all monies.
Secure and store beverages, food, and equipment; perform cash drops and close out the bank at shift end.
Clean and sanitize the bar area (Bar Manicure).
Complete daily inventory prep sheets and other side work as needed.
Maintain knowledge of current food and beverage offerings and promote menu items.
Comply with food safety and handling policies, including product rotation and labeling.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas.
Demonstrate knowledge of hotel hours and amenities.
Collaborate effectively with service and kitchen teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience preferred in hospitality, service, or bartending with knowledge of drink preparation.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
Provide friendly service with a smile at all times.
Flexible availability including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Punctual for all shifts and breaks; adhere to clock-in/out policies.
Provide notice when unable to attend scheduled shifts.
Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions; capable of lifting certain items.
Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
