Title: Experienced Bartender – Polished Modern Steakhouse
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests.
- Provide technically perfect, polished, warm, sincere, and personalized service with an engaging personality.
- Check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
- Communicate clearly and enthusiastically with guests at all times.
- Make guests feel appreciated through attentive actions.
- Count and serve beverages accurately.
- Anticipate guest needs and offer assistance proactively.
- Work collaboratively with all staff to maintain an efficient and welcoming atmosphere.
- Collect payment for drinks served.
- Mix cocktails and serve wine and beer (bottle or draft).
- Manage guest intoxication responsibly by persuading guests to stop drinking or arranging transportation if needed.
- Prepare bar ingredients made in-house (e.g., simple syrups, sweet and sour) and stock garnishes.
- Clean glasses, utensils, bar equipment, and restock glassware.
- Remove recycling and maintain cleanliness of bar, work areas, and tables.
- Balance cash drawer at end of shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Alcohol Service Certification preferred.
- Basic math skills for handling money and making change.
- Basic reading and computer skills.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and standard drink recipes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Position Type and Hours: This is an hourly paid position. Work hours vary based on business needs. The establishment operates seven days a week, with shifts starting as early as 9 AM and ending as late as 2 AM.
