Job Summary: As a Bartender at Q39, you play a vital role in creating craveable and memorable dining experiences. You will provide exceptional service through attentiveness, accuracy, and genuine hospitality, guiding guests throughout their visit and working closely with the front-of-house team. You are expected to have advanced beverage knowledge and practice responsible alcohol service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and create an inviting bar atmosphere.
- Demonstrate expertise in cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits; provide recommendations and answer guest questions.
- Craft drinks efficiently and consistently, accurately entering orders using the Toast POS system.
- Collaborate with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
- Engage guests proactively, monitor needs, and handle requests or concerns with care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area including glassware, tools, garnishes, and inventory.
- Follow closing procedures, process payments accurately, and complete end-of-shift duties.
- Support team members to provide seamless service.
- Uphold Q39 standards of service, cleanliness, and responsible alcohol service at all times.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years bartending experience in a full-service restaurant or bar.
- Proficiency with Toast POS or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for 4–5 hours per shift.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Guest-focused, team-oriented, and professional attitude.
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and food safety practices.
