Job Description
We are looking for a professional, high-energy bartender with excellent communication skills to serve classic cocktails and exciting signature beverages at Lucky Dog Bark and Brew. Our bars include indoor and outdoor dog-friendly spaces, so a love for dogs is essential. To succeed, you should have a neat appearance, an engaging and friendly personality, and be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.
Bartender Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers, listen to their preferences, make recommendations, and take drink orders.
- Treat all guests—both patrons and their dogs—with dignity and respect.
- Inform customers about new beverages and specials.
- Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages.
- Check identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age.
- Communicate supply needs to the Bar Manager.
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately and balance the cash register.
- Maintain a clean work area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
Bartender Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Must meet state minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and knowledge of drink mixing tools and techniques.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
