Title: Bartender

Bartenders set the tone. We seek someone who can handle a busy bar, make excellent drinks quickly, and genuinely enjoy the role. Experience is important, but personality matters more.

Responsibilities:

Prepare a wide range of drinks accurately and efficiently in a high-volume environment, without cutting corners.
Engage with guests, answer questions, and ensure everyone has a great time; you are the face of Boxcar.
Know the menu thoroughly, including craft beers, cocktails, shots, and non-alcoholic options. Be ready to recommend.
Participate in events and theme nights, dressing up when appropriate and adding to the ambiance.
Perform bar maintenance tasks such as keg changes, line cleaning, fruit prep, restocking, and mopping.
Maintain a clean bar, handle cash accurately, and manage inventory and tabs precisely.

Requirements:

Several years of experience in high-volume bars or nightclubs.
Strong work ethic and conscientious attitude, balancing seriousness about the job with a fun spirit.
Genuine hospitality and ability to connect with people.
Availability for weekends, closing shifts, private events, and holidays.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical stamina to work 8-hour shifts on your feet and lift up to 40 lbs.
Certifications such as Cicerone Beer Server or ServSafe Alcohol are a plus.
