Title: Bartender

Overview: Bartenders at Great Adventure are responsible for the successful and profitable operation of their assigned bar location. They ensure the preparation and service of quality beverages and snack food items while maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures to deliver outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities:

Properly set up the bar with utensils and equipment such as glassware and shakers.
Verify customers' age and process payments through the POS system.
Build rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.
Study each recipe and gather necessary ingredients for timely drink preparation.
Experiment with recipes, suggest new ingredients or specials, and inform staff of menu updates.
Modify recipes slightly to meet customers' needs and dietary requests.
Provide friendly, speedy, and accurate service, resolving guest issues as necessary.
Enforce proper food preparation and handling procedures in compliance with health and sanitation policies.
Continuously monitor cleanliness of all units within the assigned area.
Ensure the safety of team members and guests.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels at each location.
Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance performance.
Comply with all Six Flags policies at all times.

Qualifications:

Willingness to work 40-60 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, and before or after scheduled shifts if necessary.
Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods, change kegs, and move stock.
Professional, outgoing, energetic, self-motivated with a positive attitude, and able to motivate others.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask calmly.
Maintain perfect grooming and conduct.
Preferred 1-2 years of proven bartending experience.
Knowledge of current alcohol beverage trends, food pairing techniques, and hands-on experience with bartending equipment.
Understanding of applicable laws and enforcement of company alcohol policies.
Accountability in maintaining inventory.
Preferred active ServSafe Alcohol or TIPS certification.
Willingness to change locations when requested.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements: Candidates should have 1-2 years bartending experience, be at least 18 years old, physically able to stand for long periods and move stock, and be available to work 40-60 hours per week including weekends.
