Job Description
Title: Bartender - Part-Time
$1,000 Retention Bonus
The Bartender mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests at the bar and/or restaurant, providing a pleasant and entertaining atmosphere.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare order requests from guests or cocktail servers.
- Upsell liquor, specialty and house cocktails, beers, and wines.
- Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Serve wine and draft or bottled beer.
- Comp player drinks according to house rules.
- Stock the bar with necessary items.
- Stay updated on current specialty drinks, trends, and new liquors, beers, and wines.
- Request identification from guests when the legal drinking age is in question.
- Ensure the station is cleaned and sanitized.
- Follow all Southern Nevada Health District regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience bartending in a casino or similar hospitality environment preferred.
- Required certifications: Non-Gaming Card, Alcohol Awareness Card, and Clark County Health Card.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
- Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Experience with Micros or similar POS software preferred.
Machinery Used: Blender, beverage gun, cutlery, beverage dispensers, cash register, computer, telephone.
