Title: Barback

Position Overview: The Barback is responsible for organizing and stocking bars with supplies and beverage products. This role maintains deep cleaning of all beverage areas and equipment and assists bartenders to ensure efficient and effective service.

Responsibilities:

Maintain service stations and cleanliness of assigned bars.
Stock bars and main coolers with beverage products.
Assist guests courteously and professionally.
Ensure a safe environment for team members and guests.
Shovel ice from ice machines into bins.
Change empty kegs as needed.
Restock garnishes, mixers, and liquor bottles.
Maintain and fix equipment, such as clearing clogged drains.
Share responsibility with bartenders for bar setup and cleanup each shift.
Prepare fruit garnishes.
Perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements:

At least 18 years old with the ability to obtain required licenses.
NYS Food Handlers Permit mandatory.
Must obtain ABC license and Tips Certification.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Language Skills:

Fluency in English required.
Ability to read, analyze, interpret policies, and respond to inquiries.
Able to present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings.

Mathematical & Reasoning Skills:

Ability to perform mathematical calculations and interpret reports.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Must be able to lift or maneuver at least 15 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
Requires good vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment:

Noise levels vary from moderate to loud, especially on casino floors.
Exposure to tobacco smoke possible.
Must handle intoxicated guests professionally.
Flexible schedule required due to the nature of the hospitality industry.

Compensation: Pay range: $28.84 - $38.46 per hour.
