Title: Banquet Bartender

Job Summary: The Bartender is responsible for preparing food and drink orders, serving beverages and meals to patrons in compliance with state and federal age requirements, and coordinating lounge/bar activities.

Responsibilities:

Verify customers' identification to confirm age requirements for alcohol purchase.
Present menus, answer questions, and take food and beverage orders from guests and/or serving staff.
Prepare drink orders including wine, liquor, and beer.
Prepare appetizers and food items according to recipes and standards.
Monitor seating in the lounge/bar area to ensure all guests are served.
Compute bills, accept payments, and track and balance sales receipts.
Limit issues related to excessive drinking by discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management as needed.
Clean bars, work areas, tables, glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
Maintain a tidy kitchen and lounge station; clean and restock kitchen and bar at the end of each shift.
Plan, organize, and control lounge/bar operations.
Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
Arrange bottles and glasses for attractive displays.
Create drink recipes.
Inventory liquor, food, supplies, and equipment weekly; order or requisition supplies as necessary.
Maintain temperature and waste logs daily.
Receive, date, and inspect foodstuffs and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet standards.
Ensure tips are properly reported for tax processing.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Three to six months of related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Alcohol Awareness Certification compliant with state regulations.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop alternative solutions.
Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations professionally and respond promptly to customer needs.
Maintain professionalism and treat others with respect.
Knowledge of and adherence to policies, procedures, safety, and security guidelines.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to meet work schedule demands and occasionally work outside regular hours as business needs require.
