Title: Barback, Soho House Austin

The Role: At Soho House, a Barback assists bartenders in providing quality service to all guests. You will ensure efficiency behind the bar by keeping all items stocked and easily accessible for quick delivery. Responsibilities include cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, stocking napkins, ice, straws, glassware, garnishes, and other necessities. You will support bartenders and help maintain smooth bar operations.

Main Duties:

Maintain the bar and support bar staff to ensure a positive guest experience
Assist bartenders and management in maintaining the bar's presentation and accessibility
Stock bars with alcoholic beverages including spirits, liquor, wine, beer, garnishes, and drink mixes
Stock bars with non-alcoholic beverages like soda, juices, and CO2
Stock liquor rooms with supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, dry goods, and soda
Maintain cleanliness of liquor rooms, beer coolers, and bars (sweeping, mopping, trash removal)
Prepare bars for member, guest, and private events by stocking beverages and paper products
Replenish paper goods such as cups and napkins
Assist with inventory and advise on restocking needs
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1+ year experience in food and beverage operations or a strong passion to learn
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Basic verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Physical Requirements:

Ability to grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands
Ability to stand for at least 8 hours
Ability to move quickly within the club
Ability to lift, carry, or pull at least 40 pounds
Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as needed
